NHS Innovations is exhibiting at the Research and Innovation Day 2010 organised by The Research and Development Department of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.

This year the day will focus on innovation in service development, research funding through NIHR and CLRN, and technological innovation.

The aim of the day is to

• Further develop the opportunities for researchers at CDDFT to engage in collaborative research;
• Make available expertise and knowledge for those new to research;
• Outline the factors that lead to successful development of innovative service ideas;
• Encourage and enthuse by highlighting success stories.

Keynote speakers include

Dr Sam Eldabe, Co-Director, CLRN - “CLRN funding”
Prof James Mason, Professor of Health Economics, Research Design Unit, Durham University - “applying for NIHR research funding”
